NZ Jeep Club – New Members Day
The NZ Jeep Club advertised on a couple of public Jeep forums for New Members Day to showcase what getting you Jeep off road is all about. We had 15 Jeeps turn up, 8 of which were potential new members, in a varity of Jeeps from JK Rubicons, WJ, TJ’s and even an XJ… along with out usual bunch of CJ, TJ & JK members.
We headed off to a couple of sandy hill climbs to test eveyones ablitity before we heading up into the forest, keeping in mind not to scare any of the new punters off. After a quick lunch stop to fix a TJ with an imobiliser issue, we headed through a muddy section where everyone go to test clearance and traction before heading into a down hill drop off that tested a couple of the new people. For those that wanted it, we put an experienced driver into their passenger seat to guide them down the hill.
At the end of the day 5 people filled out membership enquiry forms and are keen to head out again with us.
It was a very successful day, with Woodhill being the perfect venue, with its multitude of options and tracks, we spent a couple of days in there and only scratched the surface of what was available to 4×4.
